Southwest Calgary Ring Road
Considerable public interest has been expressed in the current planning for the SW Calgary Ring Road (SWCRR), particularly for
communities directly affected by the SWCRR's proposed routing.
Due to the project's importance, the Province, the City and the Tsuu T'ina First Nation are undertaking an even more extensive public
consultation process than usual. In July, Alberta Infrastructure and Transportation, the City and the Nation, held open houses to give
the public a preview of a proposed routing for the SWCRR. This was the first of a number of consultation activities planned for the
project, and coincided with the beginning of the functional planning for the project.
Further consultation activities are being planned, and include a series of community-focused open houses for residents in communities
directly affected by the SWCRR's proposed routing, to review results of City impact analyses on roadway connections. These are being
planned for late October and will be followed in late November by open houses for the Calgary general public.

Centre City
In the year 2030, what do you think downtown Calgary will be like?
The City of Calgary is gathering ideas from Calgarians about their ideas for Centre City. Centre City is defined as Calgary's downtown,
from the Elbow River to 14 Street S.W. and 17 Avenue to the Bow River and includes the Stampede grounds and the community of Beltline.
Interactive events to gather ideas for Centre City are planned for October and November. Visit their website to find the
event closest to your community and information about the Plan. You may also share your ideas by emailing
or by calling the Centre City Plan Hotline at 268-2828.
